The Student Emergency Fund provides one-time resources to address immediate student financial needs. During the pandemic, it has helped students to return home during campus closures, gain access to the resources to complete virtual classes, and help Drexel students who are experiencing an unexpected and emergent situation that could jeopardize their education. Commencement is a Drexel tradition and so is the regalia that each graduate wears. However, for some students the $90 cost of the cap and gown is out of reach. That’s where the Drexel community can help. Each gift of $90 to the Graduation Regalia Assistance Fund covers the cost for one Dragon and makes it possible for them to be a part of the ceremony wearing their cap and gown. Every Drexel student can find co-op placements that match their passions and goals; however, many students pursue opportunities that are not appropriately salaried, at nonprofits, in other countries, or in high cost-of-living cities. The Co-op Opportunity Fund creates opportunities where industry funding doesn’t exist, and provides stipends for unpaid and underpaid cooperative learning. By investing in The Co-op Opportunity Fund, you unlock career-defining experiences for students of all backgrounds in every industry across the globe. The STAR (Students Tackling Advanced Research) Scholars Program is an opportunity for highly motivated first-year students to engage in an early faculty-mentored undergraduate research, scholarship, or creative experience during the summer after their freshman year. The Center for Autism and Neurodiversity (CAN) is a student-centered program for current neurodivergent Drexel students with the goal of promoting academic and social competency, self-advocacy, interpersonal skills, independent living, and social integration. The Center for Inclusive Education and Scholarship (CIES) provides support for programs which serves traditionally underrepresented and underserved populations, supporting the academic experience of Drexel students, from pre-college access programs to graduation and beyond. The Student Center for Diversity and Inclusion (SCDI) supports and empowers students of all backgrounds as they build a sense of community that reflects the diversity of the University’s student body.
